Hello, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Abby Hanser. I live in Falmouth, Kentucky, where I have a home pottery studio. My former profession was an art teaching career spanning 27 years, 23 of which were dedicated to inspiring students within the Lebanon City School District, in Lebanon, Ohio.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of mediums, including jewelry, painting, and mixed media, my artistic journey was ignited at a young age when I was introduced to clay by my mentor, Carol Muntz, during my formative years at Winton Forest Elementary School in Forest Park, Ohio. Fueling my passion for clay, I pursued my academic endeavors, earning a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Arts in Art Education from The Art Academy of Cincinnati.

Continuously evolving as an artist, in 2023 I delved into the world of pottery, learning techniques of the pottery wheel and expanding my repertoire of skills.

As I continue my ongoing creative journey, I have discovered that I am a constant learner and my art is ever-changing and evolving. I am eager to explore new ideas and see how my art and the creative space that my husband and I have made can impact others in my community and beyond.
